IVY SINGLES - Holiday Party on Dec. 5

Join this evening (and the group) in a major outing, meet fellow Tigers and engage other Ivy Club members.

Friday, December 5, 2008
6:30 to 9:00 PM

DACOR-Bacon House
1801 F Street NW
Washington, DC 20006

The Washington DC Stanford Club invites you to an Ivy Singles Social Club
holiday party. The venue is the elegant, historic DACOR- Bacon House (built
1824-25), home to several Supreme Court Justices as well as a Maryland
governor. Congressman Bacon and his wife lived in the house. Upon her
death, Bacon’s widow, Virginia Murray Bacon, bequeathed the historic
building to the Foundation as a memorial to husband, U.S. Representative
Robert Low Bacon of New York. The House now serves as headquarters
and meeting place for members of the Diplomatic and Consular Officers,
Retired (DACOR) and the DACOR Bacon House Foundation.

The DACOR-Bacon House will be decorated for the holiday season and a
fir tree will await our collective, talented ‘bobble and bow adding skills’.
In keeping with the holiday spirit, please bring an inexpensive gift to put
under the tree for Toys for Tots. Participating is optional and wrapped gifts
should note a suggested age of child for the gift.

We will feast on scrumptious hors d'oeuvres and enjoy live music. Libations
will be available from a cash bar. Wear your festive party apparel.
