Volunteer Activity: Interfaith Works

PCW volunteers will assist the Clothing Center staff with sorting clothing donations and stocking the shopping areas with donated goods. This opportunity may also include helping with the adjoining Food Pantry in Rockville, MD. Please meet at their Clothing Center and Food Hub before 8:30 AM, as a needed, on-site orientation begins sharply at 8:30 AM.

* Once you have registered, please let PCW Community Service Chair John Veras '11 know. PCW volunters will meet up on site.

When: Saturday, April 22 at 8:30 AM - 2 PM EST
Where: Interfaith Works Clothing Center and Food Hub, 751 Twinbrook Parkway, Rockville, MD 20851 (please enter through the covered entrance with the wooden ramp)

Parking: on-site parking near the Interfaith Works Clothing Center and the Montgomery County Recreation Department Warehouse
Nearest WMATA Metro Station: about 10 minute drive from the Twinbrook Metro on the WMATA Red Line

Orientation: All new volunteers are required to attend a brief orientation session before the shift; register here for the Saturday, April 22 volunteer orientation.

Volunteer Shift: Register here for the Saturday, April 22 shift immediately after orientation.

Requirements: All volunteers need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative COVID test 72 hours prior to any volunteer shift. Please send all related documents to mmarks@iworksmc.org. Interfaith Works requires that volunteers be at least 14 years old. All volunteers under 18 years of age must have a parent signature to start their hours. A parent’s signature can be provided on their online form or in person.
