VIRTUAL EVENT - Executive Coaching Discussion with Hilary Joel '85

If you are curious about how working with a coach might help you or your team members raise their game, or you are exploring different tools to navigate a current leadership challenge, you can get some answers in this informal talk with Hilary Joel '85.

Executive Coaching:

How Does it Work and Who Can Benefit

Hilary Joel, Class of ’85, will review the principles, uses, boundaries, mechanics, supporting tools, success factors, and most common benefits of a typical one-on-one coaching engagement with a C-suite executive or mid-level rising leader. She will also provide guidance on how one should select a coach and structure an engagement, with plenty of time for Q&A. Lastly, if there is a bold volunteer or two (and a group agreement to confidentiality), Hilary will do a brief coaching demo(s).

Hilary Joel, principal of her firm WJ Consulting based in Bethesda MD, is an experienced management consultant and accredited executive coach who works with C-suite executives, management teams, and rising leaders — with a primary focus on the nonprofit sector. She holds an MBA and has over 15 years as a coach, trained at Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership, as well as over 30 years as a strategy and organizational consultant. Her clients have ranged from local and national to international nonprofits and corporations.
