Ivy Over-Fifty Singles: "Paying Calls in Shangri-La"

Join Ivy Over-Fifty Singles for a book discussion with Judith Heimann, retired diplomat and author.

Judith Heimann, retired diplomat and author, invites IO-FS members to attend a lively account of some of her adventures as one of the first “tandem” US diplomats who, as spouse to her diplomat husband and in her own diplomatic career, played a role in little-known events involving US relations with Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Admission is free. No registration is required.

Nominated for the 2016-7 American Academy of Diplomacy’s award for the best book on the art of diplomacy, Judith Heimann’s book Paying Calls in Shangri-La: scenes from a woman’s life in American diplomacy (Ohio University Press) is for sale at Politics & Prose, 5015 Connecticut Ave, Washington, DC 20008.
