More Information about the Next Generation Citizenship Program:
The Next Generation Citizenship Program is a leadership initiative sponsored by The Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students and Whig-Clio at Princeton that focuses on citizenship, civil discourse, and voter engagement efforts. Eight students, called “NextGen Fellows," were selected to participate in on-campus workshops that focus on engaging students with reflection, active listening, and discourse while thinking about ways to bridge public institutions with young citizens and encourage a culture of civic responsibility. The program includes a trip to Washington, DC, where students will meet with leaders in both the public and private sectors to learn more about the different perspectives and efforts regarding citizenship and voter engagement. Ultimately, the program encourages students to think deeply and critically about what it means to be engaged citizens and ethical leaders in today’s society.

To learn more about the program, please see the University homepage article that was written last year during the first year of the initiative.
