Princeton Alum Speaking at National Geographic Explorers Festival

Catch Joel Achenbach '82 at "Red Planet vs. Blue Planet: Where Do We Explore Next?"

The National Geographic Explorers Festival is taking place June 15-18, and on Saturday June 17 they're hosting Red Planet vs. Blue Planet: Where Do We Explore Next?, a day-long session with some of the world’s best explorers and storytellers, who will talk about the future of exploration on this planet and across the galaxy.

The event will feature Washington Post staff writer and proud Princeton graduate Joel Achenbach '82, along with other notable speakers such as
Bob Ballard, ocean explorer and discoverer of the Titanic; Sylvia Earle, legendary oceanographer and National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence; and Colonel Chris Hadfield, the first Canadian Commander of the International Space Station.
