About Larry Tsai ’79

Larry Tsai is Co-Founder and Owner of Moone-Tsai Wines, a Napa Valley winery that produces notable limited production cabernets that are renowned for their character, complexity, and artisanal craftsmanship.
With winemaker Philippe Melka, Moone-Tsai uses only the most extraordinary fruit from coveted vineyard sources in Napa Valley and the Sonoma Coast …to produce prized cabernets, and other Bordeaux blends/varietals, including their acclaimed Chardonnay and Howell Mountain Hillside Blend.

Prior to establishing Moone-Tsai, Larry was a management consultant for Andersen Consulting; enjoyed a career building flagship brands for the world’s premier consumer products companies including Kraft-General Foods, and Nestle; and later led the emergence of early stage companies in the natural-organic/specialty foods, and technology sectors. Outside of these professional endeavors, Larry remains actively involved with his alma mater, Princeton University, and as a director on the boards for local community and educational institutions. Larry earned his B.A. in Economics from Princeton University, and received his M.B.A. from Stanford University. Larry, his wife, MaryAnn and their family enjoy the fruits of their wine country lifestyle in their Las Posadas home high atop Napa Valley’s fabled Howell Mountain.
