Roosevelt Island Hike and Picnic

Join fellow alums for a nature hike and picnic through Roosevelt Island!

Join fellow alums for a nature hike through Teddy Roosevelt Island! We'll meet at the entrance to the island at 11am (by the parking lot), walk about two miles on the paths that circle the island, and then have a picnic lunch at the center by the Teddy Roosevelt monument.

Address: George Washington Memorial Parkway, northbound lanes between Roosevelt Bridge and Key Bridge, Arlington, VA 22209 (Located in the Potomac River between Rosslyn and Georgetown)

The island is a 10-15 minute walk from the Rosslyn Metro station. From the station, walk toward the Key Bridge. A short connecting trail leads downhill from the downstream side of the bridge, across the parkway, and into the parking lot at Theodore Roosevelt Island.
