“Beyond the ‘Ugly American’: Joining the Ranks of the Culturally Competent”

We buy a guide book or two, charge the batteries for our camera, and make a packing list, but few of us try to equip ourselves with an understanding of the culture of the country we will be visiting. Whether traveling for fun or profit, cultural competence is an increasingly important skill for us to cultivate.  This evening with intercultural guru, Dean Foster, will make us more culturally sensitive and competent and give us a better understanding of how such competency is an increasingly potent source of competitive advantage for global enterprises.

As president of dfa, Mr. Foster and his global team conduct cross-cultural training worldwide and consult on intercultural business issues with Fortune 500 companies and other major multinational firms around the globe. He is a frequent guest on CNN, CNBC and other TV and radio shows, and a keynoter at major international professional conferences.

(A selection of hors d'oeuvres, wine, beer, and soft drinks is included with the price of admission)
