HAITI RELIEF Fundraiser: Take time on 2/26...

HAITI RELIEF FUNDRAISER -- GREAT SUCCESS. We raised $2500 and drew 165 fundraiser ticket buyers. This NEW 2/26 Happy Hour is well worth repeating in the future.

ON MARTIN LUTHER KING's DAY, we watched Haiti, lying in ruins, needing our long-term help.

PCW has now launched Haiti relief help, including donations to the Bush-Clinton Haiti Relief Fund.  You're welcome to choose other paths, including the BCHR -- http://clintonbushhaitifund.org/.

NEW OPPORTUNITY for IVY ALUMS: PCW and the Ivy Clubs of Washington are co-sponsoring a Haitian Relief Fundraiser on 2/26.  PCW will join other Ivy Clubs in a round-robin of fundraising efforts in DC throughout the year.

WHAT: FUNDRAISER  2/26 for HAITI RECONSTRUCTION

Sponsored by The Princeton Club and Ivy Club Network of Washington
Join many -- from alums, guests to our Ivy Club members from DC.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ALL-IVY FUNDRAISER a GREAT SUCCESS! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FELLOW, ALUMNI: THANK YOU....
The event was a huge success. We sold approximately 165 tickets
for either $10 or $20 and had a number of additional donations.
We raised $2,500 for Haiti Reconstruction. The feedback from guests
was really positive as well.  In addition to benefiting a great cause
the event also turned out to be an excellent networking night.
We had a really diverse crowd of all ages, fields, clubs, etc. The
manager of the bar was also very pleased and would be happy
to host future events.
I do hope we can commit thru the Ivy Club Network to a monthly
event to benefit Haiti/Chile etc.  This seems like a great way to
bring the clubs together. If someone from one of the other clubs
volunteers to host the next one, I'd be happy to assist them.
FYI - Through our marketing efforts, the event was listed on a
few blogs as well as in the Washington Post, see below.
It also made it on some blogs -
We wanted to let everyone know that in addition to the postings we've
done through the All Ivy club, facebook, etc. One Lounge received
a nice plug in the Washington Post.
FOR A VIEW OF THE EARTHQUAKES and their IMPACT ....
[quote] PAHO Visualizes Haiti's Earthquakes
by Wade Tibke --
The Pan American Health Organization published an interactive
dashboard showing the location of last week’s devastating
earthquakes in Haiti. The view spans three days and makes it
easy to see the sheer number and strength of the aftershocks
that reached magnitude 5.9.  [endquote/snip]
