About the Princeton Club of Washington

The Princeton Club of Washington, DC (PCW) is one of the leading Princeton regional associations.  Founded 1872, PCW provides a forum for events and activities for Princeton's alumni, students and parents.

More than anything, the Club exists to serve alumni like you, both with the events and activities that the Club sponsors and with the opportunity it provides for you to get involved with other Alums in these activities.

The Club remains a leader in the Princeton's community, widely known as one of the University's most active alumni groups.  We are committed to offering Tigers many of the top resources needed for professional growth, networking, plus cultural, community service and social activities that bring value to your lives.

PCW is very fortunate to have a dedicated leadership group and broad network of volunteers and alumni to sponsor and support our activities. On an on-going basis, the Club does the following in support of Princeton and our Washington community:

  • Supports the University by annually interviewing applicants to Princeton through our Alumni Schools Committee, hosting the New Admits reception to meet and interact with new Tigers, and sponsoring the awards ceremony for the Princeton Prize in Race Relations.
  • Embodies Princeton's spirit of service through our monthly volunteering at Miriam’s Kitchen, a soup kitchen in downtown DC; our annual Adopt-a-Family project that supports dozens of families through the holiday months; support of and involvement in the non-profit mentoring and internship program known as AlumniCorp (formerly Princeton Project 55); frequent one-time community service events; and presentation of its annual Community Service Award.  The PCW received the Alumni Council’s Award for Community Service in 2002 for the Club’s commitment to service and host of activities.
  • Supports continuing education by bringing Princeton faculty and administrators to the area, organizing talks by alumni and other speakers.
  • Fosters social and professional interaction among members by organizing Networking Nights, Young Alumni and All-Ivy events, sporting events, and local performances of Triangle.
  • Builds awareness of programs and services through regular mailings, newsletters, our club web site and e-mails.

We hope to see you at many Princeton Club events throughout the year.
